First Time Students

When you decide to attend Texas Theological University the first time, please follow these steps:

1. Complete and submit the Application for Admissions Form.
2. Complete and submit the Covenant Code of Honor Form.
3. Request the high school from which you graduated to send a complete transcript to:
   Registrar

4. Optional: complete and submit the Experiential Credit Form.
5. Upon receipt and consideration of the above information, you will be notified of your standing and given more information.

First Time Graduate School Students

For those planning to attend the graduate school of Texas Theological University for the first time, please do the following:

1. Complete and submit the Application for Admissions Form.
2. Complete and submit the Covenant Code of Honor Form.
3. Request the institution of higher education that granted your bachelor’s degree to send a complete transcript to:

4. You must also send the transcripts of all other undergraduate and graduate work completed if the above transcript does not note all completed work.
5. Upon receipt and consideration of the above information, you will be notified of your standing and given more information.

Transfer Students

If you are a transfer student, please use the following steps for admission.

1. Complete and submit the Application for Admissions Form.
2. Complete and submit the Covenant Code of Honor Form.
3. Request each institution of higher education to send a complete transcript to:

Transfer of Credit Policies

It is the policy of Texas Theological University to consider for transfer credits earned in a regular college or university or other college level institution.  Courses which are not similar to the major of the student may be transferred as general electives, providing they meet all the seminary transfer policies and can be of use to the student’s degree plan.  Only those credits that carry a grade of at least a ‘C’ or its equivalent can be considered for transfer.  Texas Theological University requires that a certain portion of any degree be completed through the curriculum programs of Texas Theological University and may not be fulfilled by transferred or experiential credits.  This will be decided on a case by case basis by the Pastoral Administration.

Attendance Policy

It should be noted that a student of Texas Theological University is expected to be punctual and display character worthy of representative of our Savior. The student alone is responsible for the communication involved in absences, not only to the professors, but to the Dean of Students if needed.  The burden of information belongs to the student in the following policy.

1. All students taking a course, regardless of classification, are expected to attend all scheduled classes.
2. A student is allowed three (3) absences per semester.  If an exam is involved, it may be made up at the discretion and convenience of the Professor.  Any exam not made up by the allotted time will be given a grade of “0”.
3. The professor should be apprised of any planned absence and all course work must be made up by obtaining the class time tape from the office.
4. Upon the fourth (4th) absence, without recourse to Texas Theological University, or refund any tuition or fees, the student will automatically receive “FA” (failure due to absence) and be dismissed from class.

Mandatory Attendance Church Attendance is an essential part of your education at Texas Theological University.  They are held each week and it is mandatory that all students attend church services each week.

Graduation Services, optional fellowships and Mini-Misters will be available each semester for all students.  Check with Pastoral Administration for dates and times.
